The World Health Organization (WHO) has listed the American Moderna coronavirus vaccine as recommended for use in emergencies.
“Today, WHO has included the Moderna vaccine against COVID-19 (mRNA 1273) in the list of drugs for use in emergency situations, making this vaccine the fifth approved by WHO,” the organization said in a statement.
WHO experts recommend using the vaccine for patients over 18 years of age.
As it became known earlier, the plane with the first batch of Moderna vaccine arrived in Japan.
