WHO Assistant Director-General Mariangela Simao commented on the situation with the assessment process of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V.
“As you know, the process was suspended due to the lack of a number of legal procedures. And I am happy to say that during the discussions with the Russian government, the problem was resolved. As soon as the legal procedures are completed, we are ready to resume the process, “- quoted by RIA Novosti Simao.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, said that the World Health Organization has no complaints about the Sputnik V drug.
Later, the head of the laboratory of mechanisms of population variability of pathogenic microorganisms at the Gamaleya Center, Vladimir Gushchin, said that the developers of Sputnik V believe that the vaccine will be registered by the World Health Organization by the end of November.
