The World Health Organization (WHO) has assured the children that Santa Claus will deliver gifts around the world as he is immune to the coronavirus. This was stated in a holiday video message posted on Twitter, the head of the WHO technical group Maria van Kerkhove.

“I can tell you that Santa Claus is immune from this virus. We had a short conversation with him. Mr. Klaus is doing well and he is very busy right now, ”she said.

Kerkhove added that WHO has learned from the leaders of several countries about easing quarantine measures for the Christmas wizard so that he can get into the air.

The representative of the organization reminded the children of the need to maintain physical distance. She also urged to obey parents and guardians, to go to bed early on Christmas Eve, so that Santa could deliver gifts to all the children during his travels around the world.

Earlier, the Finnish government promised that Santa Claus will deliver Christmas gifts regardless of the coronavirus situation. They said that the wizard, Mrs. Klaus and their elves were the first to be vaccinated.

Russian Santa Claus from Veliky Ustyug was also one of the first to be vaccinated against coronavirus. He also regularly takes tests for COVID-19 and prepares for upcoming appointments with children.
