During the upcoming talks, Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden will certainly consider the progress of negotiations with Iran on a nuclear deal. Such details were disclosed by a high-ranking representative of the American administration during a briefing, TASS reports.
The White House spokesman recalled that the leaders discussed the topic of Iran during the talks via video link on December 7, so, in his opinion, “the presidents will want to synchronize watches, make sure that we can strengthen the close coordination [actions] that take place within the five plus one “” against the backdrop of the prospect of a full return to compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) discussed in Vienna.
Earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, December 30, will call the American leader Joe Biden. The conversation is scheduled for 15:30 Moscow time. According to the White House, Moscow requested the conversation. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov confirmed the information.
