US President Joe Biden's speech on the country's foreign policy has been postponed to Thursday, February 4. This was reported by White House spokesman Jane Psaki. Her words are quoted by TASS.
According to Psaki, Biden will visit the State Department on Thursday to deliver a speech “on restoring America's role in the world.”
On January 31, NBC TV channel, citing a source in the presidential administration, reported that Biden intends on Monday, February 1, to make a speech on his vision of the state's foreign policy, as well as sign a number of decrees in the field of foreign policy.
Earlier, the Joe Biden administration suspended a number of arms sales deals to other countries. The US State Department explained that “the execution of some unfinished deliveries and transactions in the defense sector has been suspended.” The Department of State attributes this to the need to “enable the new leadership to evaluate” such transactions, which is a common procedure when a new administration starts.
