WhatsApp will restrict messenger functions for those users who refused to accept the updated user agreement. Reportedly, the gradual limitation of functions will begin on 15 May.
The message says that in a few weeks the reminder of the update will become irrevocable, and from that time on, the application's functionality “will be limited until you accept the update.”
It is specified that the term will be different for each user. At the initial stage, customers will be prohibited from using chats, but it will be possible to receive calls. In addition, it will be possible to call back with a missed call, but later they will cancel both incoming calls and notifications.
Eventually the messenger will stop sending messages and calls to the phone. The chat history can be exported and the account report can be downloaded, but it cannot be deleted even if the person refuses to accept the agreement.
We will remind, earlier WhatsApp postponed the update of the user agreement due to criticism, and announced a four-month forced postponement of the update. However, later, the messenger already reported on the consistent blocking of users for refusing to accept the new rules of the messenger.
