WhatsApp started limiting user accounts

by alex

Today, May 15, WhatsApp promised to start restricting the accounts of users who did not agree with the messenger's new privacy policy. The company says the restrictions will be phased in.

Earlier, the WhatsApp team warned that from May 15 it will deprive some of the functions of the accounts of users who do not accept the new user agreement. Now people will begin to receive an undeniable reminder. Until it is accepted, users will not have access to the chat list. Later, people will not be able to receive incoming calls, messages and notifications.

Nowadays, many WhatsApp users still work without restrictions. The bans will be introduced gradually over several weeks. For each user, the time of the appearance of restrictions will be individual.

The WhatsApp team says it uses end-to-end encryption in chats, which means that no personal communications should be passed on to third parties.
