The year 2021 brings an increase in minimum income and social assistance in Vienna. The social benefit increases by 3.5 percent. This is reported by the news portal “vienna.at”. Those receiving minimum income can look forward to almost 30 euros more per month.
So far, recipients of social assistance in Vienna have received 917.35 euros per month, from 2021 they will receive 949.46. So a plus of 32.11 euros. Because of the corona pandemic, there is also further help. For example, a one-off payment of 100 euros per child is being considered for every child who lives in a minimum income household.
According to “vienna.at”, one-off payments of up to 100 euros per minimum security household are planned as an energy cost subsidy. Both benefits are not counted towards social assistance or minimum income, it continues. They can therefore also be used.
The minimum income is a financial support. It covers the cost of living and rent for Viennese with little or no income.
