There will be no oil sanctions.
Since the G7 is still working on the details of capping prices for oil, this will probably not figure in the 8th package of EU sanctions against Russia.
This is reported by the journalist of Radio Liberty Rikard Jozwiak on Twitter.
“Most likely, package 8 will include sanctions on chemicals, machinery, steel products (for 12 billion euros),” the journalist wrote.
as the G7 is still working on the details of the oil price cap, it prob won't feature in the immediate EU sanctions package on #Russia. but there will likely be sanctions on chemicals, machinery, steel products (€12 bn worth) + listings a dozen for the “referenda”. #Ukraine

Yozvyak noted that European Union foreign ministers have agreed on the preparation of new sanctions against Russia and an increase in the supply of weapons to Ukrainian troops in response to mobilization in the Russian Federation, announced on September 21 by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Recall that the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kuleba, supported the call of President Vladimir Zelensky to ban the West from issuing visas to Russians. He called on all EU and G7 countries to stop issuing visas to citizens of the Russian Federation until they “learn to respect international borders.”
