New rules for entry into the European Union will be in force from 2024, so now there is no need to obtain any permits or pay for it money.

Entry into the EU will be paid for Ukrainians from 2024. For visa-free travel, citizens of Ukraine will need to obtain a special ETIAS permit for 7 euros. What is ETIAS

ETIAS – European Travel Information and Authorization System. Its purpose is to prevent the entry into the EU of those who pose a threat to public order, national security or international relations of Schengen member countries.

ETIAS permit is a permit to enter the EU for citizens of countries with which the visa-free regime operates. It is linked to the person’s international passport and is valid for three years or until the passport expires. If a person receives a new passport, he will also need to obtain a new ETIAS permit.

With an ETIAS permit, you can enter the territory of the above European countries any number of times. However, you can stay in the EU for a total of 90 days during any 180-day period.

Even if you receive ETIAS approval,it does not guarantee 100% entry into the EU. Thus, a border guard of a foreign country may ask to see a passport and other documents. The border guard will check whether you meet the entry conditions.
