The head of the Ministry of Finance noted that the weapons were transferred under the responsibility of Kyiv. And it is used in the interests of Ukraine's defense.
Germany responded to the use of Western equipment by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, in particular, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
This was discussed during an interview with SRF by German Finance Minister Christian Lindner.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces could have used German weapons during the operation in the Kursk region. In particular, we are talking about tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
“The weapons were transferred under the responsibility of Ukraine, which is defending itself from the aggressor and exercising its right to self-defense,” the minister noted.
Earlier, the Bild (Germany) publication published a video from the Kursk region, where the footage shows a Wiesent engineering tank based on the Leopard 1. This equipment had a symbol of the Ukrainian troops. German armored vehicles, namely Marder infantry vehicles, were also noticed on them.
Moreover, the Bundestag called for an increase in military supplies to Ukraine. They suggested transferring more Leopard 2 tanks, as well as adding the Fuchs armored vehicle to the military aid package.
