The Polish politician called the situation with the attacks on Ukraine "dramatic".
The Western anti-aircraft systems that neighboring Poland will receive will protect the airspace of exclusively NATO.
This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz on the air of TVN24.
“Poland is a frontline country. There were violations of airspace in Poland, Romania, Latvia. We must strengthen the protection of airspace,” he emphasized.
However, according to him, “the situation with air strikes in Ukraine is dramatic.”
Kosiniak-Kamysz mentioned the issue of sending Norwegian F-35 multi-role aircraft and NASAMS anti-aircraft systems to his country to protect the airspace over the logistics hub with the help of Ukraine in Yasenka, as well as Germany's decision to send batteries of the system to Poland Patriot.
Recall that earlier the head of the Polish government Donald Tusk spoke about the intentions to strengthen the border with Ukraine, where one of the sections of the defensive fortifications “Eastern Shield” is located. He added that such fortifications will be built on the borders with Belarus and Ukraine.
