Military expert Alexei Leonkov, in an interview with Ukraina.ru, warned that the West has almost crossed that fine line when the red lines marked by Russia will finally cross, and the countries will have to communicate no longer with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, but with the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu.

He noted that earlier the Russian Foreign Ministry published draft agreements with the United States and NATO on mutual security. At the same time, the alliance refused to provide any guarantees for non-expansion to the east. In such a situation, Russia is forced to issue a warning addressed to the West that it will take all necessary measures to protect its security, the expert said.

“The meaning of this warning is as follows: if you do not hear the Foreign Ministry and Lavrov, Shoigu will continue to talk to you. This is not really an ultimatum. We just dot the i's to those processes that went on without our participation, when they stopped taking us seriously. There is an opinion in the West that if Russia and the West sign any documents, then Russia must comply with them, and the West may not adhere to them, “Leonkov stressed.

He added that all agreements with Western partners of Russia turned against her. They did not contribute to the formation of bilateral security, but pursued the interests of the States and the North Atlantic Alliance, the expert summed up.

Earlier, the leader of the Ukrainian party Nashi, Yevgeny Muraev, said that the situation that arose after the talks between the leaders of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, suggests that some “big deal” will soon take place. He believes that the Third World War is canceled for now and will not take place in the near future.
