Werner Grabherr is the new sporting director of Bundesliga club SCR Altach. As the Vorarlbergers announced on Thursday, the 35-year-old will succeed Christian Möckel on June 1st. At the end of March, the club had announced that it would not renew the contract with the German. Grabherr already acted as Marketing Manager (2012 to 2018) and Head Coach (2018/19) in Altach.

Grabherr, who holds a degree in business administration and who himself played around a dozen games for Altach in the second division, holds the UEFA Pro license and is currently involved in professional association support at the Vorarlberg Olympic Center. According to Altach, “among other things, he should further develop scouting and create the framework conditions to play successful football in Altach”.
