A court in Delaware, USA, ordered them to pay $ 17.1 million in the company's bankruptcy case. Judge Mary Walroth has decided to create a fund from which the funds will be distributed among more than 50 victims of sexual abuse by an American producer. Some of them will receive compensation in the amount of more than 500 thousand dollars.

It is noted that the decision was agreed with the victims, most of them supported it. According to the judge, if it was not possible to achieve the creation of the fund, women would receive minimal payments or could not count on them at all.

The company was owned by Harvey Weinstein and his brother Robert. In February 2018, the firm filed for bankruptcy.

Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to prison in March 2020. He was found guilty of third degree rape and first degree sex inducement. The former producer did not admit his guilt.

The accusations against the producer were first heard at the end of 2017 from the pages of The New York Times. The publication wrote about many young actresses and subordinates of the producer who have suffered over the past 30 years. Later, more than 80 women, including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow and Salma Hayek, shared their relationship stories with Weinstein. On May 29, Weinstein, who is already serving his sentence, was accused of raping a minor and three other victims.
