Forecasters explained that the absence of the sun and low cloudiness are a feature of the anticyclones of the autumn period, which Moscow fell under. Warm weather sets in the city, but the sky is completely covered by clouds and clouds.
“Atmospheric pressure will be high. Here is such a feature of autumn anticyclones – one fine day the gentle solar flow is overlapped by low cloudiness, which is formed in the inversion layer or under it. Inversion is when the temperature does not drop, but rises with altitude. At the same time, vertical mixing of air has been slowed down, ”the report of the Hydrometeorological Center Moscow 24 is quoted as saying.
Recall that with the arrival of the anticyclone, the weather in the capital improved significantly: the rains ended, the air temperature rose. In the first days of October, forecasters promise up to 12-14 degrees Celsius, a weak south-west wind and partly cloudy weather without precipitation, RIAMO reports.
Earlier, the weather center specialist Yevgeny Tishkovets reminded motorists that it is too early to switch to winter tires. According to him, the replacement of summer tires for winter ones should take place after the average daily temperature drops below plus five degrees, and this will not happen until October 20, the “360” TV channel reports.
