German Finance Minister Christian Lindner ruled out paying Russian gas in rubles.< /strong>

According to him, Germany will not pay for gas supplies from the aggressor country in Russian currency.

Lindner wrote about this on his Twitter page.

“Turning to Putin, I say very clearly: we will not allow ourselves to be blackmailed! We will no longer pay for Russian gas in rubles. One thing is clear: we are doing everything possible to become independent from Russia as soon as possible,” Lindner wrote on the social network.

It was previously reported that the largest energy companies in Europe are preparing to pay for gas in rubles. It also became known that ten companies in the European Union opened ruble accounts with Gazprombank.

At the same time, it recently became known that Gazprom completely suspended gas supplies Bulgarian and Polish operators due to non-payment in rubles.

At the same time, a Bloomberg source close to Gazprom said that, at least until the second half of May, the Kremlin would not turn off other countries that refuse Putin's conditions. At this time, the following payments must be made, on which the future of gas supplies to Europe will actually depend.

The European Commission warned EU members to buy Russian gas for rubles – a violation of sanctions.< /p>

It should be noted that Russia currently supplies gas via pipelines to 23 European countries.
