Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov made such a statement on the air of Ukrainian TV channels on the evening of March 13. He stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will “wait” for the Russian troops and will meet them in the way that the enemy should be met.
– On the Black Sea, they wanted to make this situation 3-4 days ago. But there was weather, they were forced to go to Sevastopol. Now they are returning. They have a great desire now to start landing on the territory of Odessa and the Odessa region. But they are expected there,” said Alexei Danilov.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council specified that the Russians would not get an easy walk around the Odessa region, as they once planned to walk along Khreshchatyk.
