The official spoke about the tactics of the Russian Federation during the summit in Washington.
NATO expects another Russian sabotage and massive attacks on Ukraine like what Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities experienced on July 8th.
A senior NATO official said this during a conversation with BBC journalists.
On condition of anonymity, before the Alliance summit in the United States, an official warned about a new threat from the Russian Federation.
“We should expect massive strikes like this (July 8 strike – ed.),” he said.
The Alliance representative added that the Russian Federation is now saving missiles, stockpiling them for future massive strikes. He also recalled that Russia is trying to commit sabotage, arson and murder in Europe. According to the official, the purpose of such operations is to undermine confidence in the EU in the need to provide assistance to Ukraine.
NATO also assessed the Russian economy. According to the source, the aggressor country can wage war against Ukraine for three to four years. However, according to data available to NATO, Moscow is trying to find new suppliers of weapons and ammunition, but the representative did not specify which countries we are talking about.
We remind you that Ukraine’s entry into NATO, in particular, an invitation to the Alliance, will not take place either during the July summit in the United States or in the near future. Therefore, Kyiv is creating its own network of alliances that can provide Ukraine with support and security from Russian aggression, Western media note.
