You should work to remove obstacles and streamline processes.

Bloomberg wrote that the European Union is unlikely to be able to fulfill its promise to provide Ukraine with a million artillery shells by March 2024. Unfortunately, this is true.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said this during the telethon.

“We will push the EU”

As the head of the department emphasized, there are questions, and our diplomacy talks a lot and rings the bells loudly. According to Kuleba, the cause of this problem is not the lack of political will in the EU to support Ukraine.

“There is such a political will. The reason is, say, such a deplorable state of the defense industry, which can produce a sufficient number of shells, and the state of warehouses and the ability to conclude external contracts,” the diplomat noted.

It turned out that there were many obstacles and some things were out of sync. The European Union is working to eliminate these bureaucratic problems.

“And that is why, while in Berlin, I called on the EU to develop a holistic policy in the field of the defense industry. That is, if we, as Europeans, want to have the ability to protect the whole of Europe, then we need a new quality of work in the defense industries,” says Kuleba.

It is necessary to remove all obstacles and introduce all necessary incentives. Set up the process at such a level that everything works like clockwork.

“And then we will see a new quality of work. I see that certain steps are already being taken. But we need more, we need it faster. We appreciate the support of the EU, but we will push them,” summed up Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.

Let us remind you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba took part in the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union on November 13. He, in particular, called for increasing military assistance to Ukraine, making a decision in December to begin negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU, as well as speeding up work on the 12th package of sanctions against Russia and strengthening interaction with the countries of Asia, Africa and South America thanks to the Peace Formula and humanitarian program Grain From Ukraine.
