48 buses from Mariupol were able to leave for Zaporozhye from Berdyansk, where they were held captive by the invaders for more than a day. It is known that 3,500 residents of Mariupol were evacuated.

In order to go to the territory controlled by Ukraine, people went on foot to the highway, where the evacuation convoy was waiting for more than a day.

48 buses completely filled up. The transport went to Zaporozhye, where people will receive all the necessary assistance from food and medicine before resettlement.

People were held captive for more than a day

The city council of Mariupol said that, unfortunately, people could not immediately get to Zaporozhye. The column was stopped in front of Vasilyevka and held for almost a day.

Only at about 17:00 on March 26, the column continued to move and is heading to support centers in Zaporozhye.
