Report of the fire and its elimination
The report of the fire on the sixth floor of the hotel was received on December 22 at 02.55 … Rescuers notified the public of the emergency at 04.55.
Before the arrival of the State Emergency Service units, 56 people were evacuated from the premises, among them – 54 children aged from six to 15 years.
To contain the fire, which covered 900 sq. m of roof, rescuers managed at 05.09, liquidated – at 05.26.
46 employees of the State Emergency Service and 14 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
What is known about the people who were inside
There were 54 young taekwondo athletes at the hotel, who had a sports camp there, and the staff of the institution.
According to Vitaly Pavlovsky, a journalist from the Vinnitsa edition of 20 Khvili, his son Nikita lived with other children on the fifth floor of the hotel. They were promptly evacuated from the institution and placed in a safe place.
The fact that the children lived in the hotel is confirmed by the police.
However, the administration convinces that the children were in another building, and the hotel is a new building that has passed all the necessary checks.

The police established the identity of the deceased only at 11.55. During the fire, a 21-year-old native of Crimea died.
That night, the girl was on the sixth floor of the hotel, exactly at the epicenter of the fire. Fleeing from the fire, she jumped out of the window and died.
Her two colleagues, a 43-year-old man and a 19-year-old girl, who did the same, were saved by jumping right onto the stairs of the rescuers.

A girl with fractures and 40% of body burns is in intensive care. The 43-year-old man, according to the medical director of the Vinnitsa emergency hospital Bogdan Trokhymenko, suffered from damage to the bone crypt, craniocerebral trauma, chest and abdominal trauma.
