The swindlers collected money, apparently, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the beginning of the war. The wife of one of the pseudo-volunteers is also involved in the crime.

The investigation established that at the beginning of the war, those accused for voluntary donations collected in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine purchased Range Rover and Audi Q5 cars for their own use,” the message says.
It is known that the attackers bought not only expensive cars, but also other valuable things. Among them are mobile phones, jewelry and more. The total amount appropriated is about 2 million hryvnia.

What threatens pseudo-volunteers
The pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings was carried out by the investigating police. Now employees of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office have filed an indictment against three scammers: two pseudo-volunteers and the wife of one of them.
They were told an article on the fact of “using charitable donations for personal enrichment during martial law.”

For this, they may face imprisonment for 5-7 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years and with confiscation of property.
