We are together: the Wales team will play a friendly match to help Ukraine

The Welsh Football Association announced that the national team will hold a friendly match on March 29 to raise money to help Ukraine, which was invaded by Russian troops.

The special fund will include funds from the sale of tickets for the match, as well as the money raised before and during the match and donations from the players. For their fans, the Welsh also made a donation function on the official website of the football federation.

The meeting will take place in Cardiff at the Cardiff City stadium on March 29 at 19.45 local time. Wales' opponent will be determined following the match against Austria in the 2022 World Cup qualifier play-off.

If the Welsh beat the Austrian team, then on March 29 they will spar with someone from Sweden — Czech. In the event they lose to Austria, they will then play a friendly against Scotland.

– Donations made before and during the Cymru international match will help provide food, water, shelter, medical care and protection, — The Football Association of Wales said in a statement.

Cardiff City Stadium has a capacity of 33,000 seats and is the home ground of Cardiff City FC.

Fifa had previously decided to postpone the semi-final match of the play -off qualification for World Cup 2022 Scotland – Ukraine for June. The winner of the meeting will play with Wales or Austria. The final match of Path A for qualification to the World Championship will take place in June.
