In his message, Alexander Lukashenko assured the UN Secretary General that Belarus is ready for direct meetings and other steps.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko wrote a letter to UN Secretary General António Guterres.

This was reported by the Belarusian agency BelTA.

The letter was handed over to the head of the UN on May 18 .

Here is a fragment of it: “We are not aggressors, as some states try to present us. Belarus has never initiated any wars or conflicts. But we are not traitors either. Honesty and decency in relations. Our position is that the concerns and interests of any country, whether it be one-eighth of the land or an island nation, must be heard by all!”

In In his message, Alexander Lukashenko assured the UN Secretary General that Belarus is ready for direct meetings and other steps.

Recall that British intelligence explained why Lukashenko is afraid of direct participation in the war in Ukraine. Despite rumors, Belarus has not yet taken a direct part in the war. Lukashenko, as noted, is trying to avoid Western countries from imposing further sanctions against his regime.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that Belarus purchased “the right amount” from Russia missile systems “Iskander” and S-400. Purchase issues were coordinated personally with Vladimir Putin.
