About 4 thousand residents of the Slovak capital joined the protest.

On Friday, January 3, a large demonstration took place outside the Slovak government building in Bratislava against the policies of the current Prime Minister Robert Fico, who is condemned for his meeting with war criminal, Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

This was reported by the Aktuality publication.

About 4 thousand residents of the Slovak capital joined the protest action organized by the Slovak public association Mír Ukrajne.

“We are not a Russian rag,” said the speakers at the rally, addressing those gathered in front of the government building.

The government of Robert Fico was accused of wanting to give Slovakia into Russia's sphere of influence. Moreover, statements were made at the meeting that the Russian “occupation” of Slovakia had already begun.

“We are not Russia,” the organizers of the action chanted, and the crowd took up these words.

The meeting also siren was sounded to remind Ukrainians of the air raids that they have been facing since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022.

Prime Minister Fico was not in the government building during the protest.

According to Dennik N, he is currently in Vietnam, where he is staying at the five-star Capella Hanoi Hotel, perhaps in the most luxurious room, called the Grand Opera Madam Butterfly. One night there costs about 6 thousand euros.

Journalists from a Slovak newspaper called the hotel and wanted to contact Fico, the administrator did so without hesitation, but no one picked up the phone.

Recall that on December 22, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico visited Moscow, where he had a “lengthy conversation” with the owner of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about the impossibility of extending the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. This meeting caused a sharp negative reaction from opposition political forces and the public.
