He thought he would take over Ukraine and the world would come to terms with it. But he met something he never hoped for: this is the Ukrainian people. Teachers, pensioners are turning into soldiers to protect their fatherland,” the head of the White House said.
Biden especially drew attention to the courage of Vladimir Zelensky, who became an example for politicians in the world. He quoted the words from Zelensky's speech: “We will defeat this darkness,” referring to the aggression of the Russian Federation.
