“We are bypassed”: the President of Estonia spoke sharply about the negotiations between Biden and Putin

by alex

The President of Estonia is concerned that there are talks between Russia and the United States, and what exactly – unknown.

The conversation between US President Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin alarmed some states, in particular, Estonia.

Estonian President Alar Karis stated this in an interview with ERR.

“Yes, this conversation really alarmed many. The feeling was that we were bypassed. Hence the telephone conversation with Biden, which was held later by the countries of Eastern Europe, the eastern wing of the EU – and other countries too”, – he said.

According to Karis, not only Estonia “felt hurt”, but also, for example, Canada and other states. The Estonian President is concerned that talks between Russia and the United States are ongoing, but what exactly is unknown.

Recall that on December 7, US President Joe Biden and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin held two-hour talks via video link. Soon it became known what the presidents had agreed on and what to expect for Ukraine.
