The best way to protect your smartphone is to combine accessories and use the device correctly. The editor-in-chief of the portal about gadgets and technologies DGL.ru Lyudmila Murzina announced this on the air of Sputnik radio.
According to the expert, usually a smartphone is protected from damage using glass, a cover or a bumper. At the same time, phones with a special shockproof casing are not very practical and are unlikely to be useful for ordinary users. Modern devices are usually produced from three materials – glass, plastic and metal. The most practical of them is plastic, but smartphones with such a body do not support wireless charging: “You have to choose a smartphone based on whether you need wireless charging.”
Lyudmila Murzina noted that plastic smartphones do not break as hard as glass, and are much more practical to repair. “Moreover, many people now make such plastic that it’s not even immediately clear there, it seems like glass,” the journalist summed up.
According to the expert, if it makes sense in a protective glass, case or bumper, then you do not need to use an additional overlay on the smartphone camera. “Usually manufacturers make special bumpers around the lens itself – this prevents it from scratching,” the expert noted. Murzina recommended that you carry a special cloth with you and wipe the device's camera with it from time to time.
The journalist also said that in winter the phone is best carried in the front pocket. A smartphone in a back pocket can break if dropped on it. If you keep the device in the side pocket of the jacket, it can be pulled out.
Earlier, experts talked about the rules for disinfecting a smartphone. It is best to use isopropyl alcohol for this purpose, they said. You cannot wipe the phone with ethyl alcohol, as well as hydrogen peroxide, since they can damage the oleophobic coating of the screen.
