The black boxes from the American Airlines plane that crashed in Washington USA due to a collision with a helicopter have been found and sent for examination.
This was reported by the CBS News channel, citing a source in law enforcement agencies.
“The black boxes have been found and sent to the National Transportation Safety Board laboratory,” the source said.
NTSB laboratory investigators have seized the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder from the Bombardier CRJ700. The black boxes were handed over to the NTSB for evaluation.
Recall that a airplane crash in Washington occurred on the evening of January 29. An American Airlines plane with 60 passengers and four crew members on board collided in mid-air with an Army Black Hawk helicopter and then crashed into the Potomac River. The air crash occurred near Reagan National Airport.
