Elena Vyalbe, President of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation (FLGR), spoke about the unfair treatment of Russian skiers. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Vyalbe considered that the additional punishment that Alexander Bolshunov received before the World Cup for the incident with the Finn Yoni Mäki was aimed at eliminating the Russian from the race for medals for the sake of the Norwegians. “They are trying by any means to 'kill' the leader so that the whole world will be happy for Norway,” she said.
