Head of the Russian Cross-Country Skiing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe on Match TV explained the behavior of Russian Alexander Bolshunov at the finish of the World Cup relay in Lahti, Finland.

Vyalbe stated that Bolshunov is aware of the unacceptability of his behavior, and justified the clash with the Finn Yoni Mäki with nervous tension. “But he didn't hit this athlete. He beat in the snow. They made some kind of sensation that he almost killed him. He just drove into it. I didn’t touch him, ”she added, noting that the Russian side is always found guilty.
