Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic warned of increasing Western pressure on the country. RIA Novosti reports his words after the meeting of the National Security Council.
In particular, Vucic said that Western countries expect Serbia to recognize Kosovo's independence. “This is the essence of the whole process. Everything they want from us fits into one sentence … Nothing has changed much, except that this desire will be expressed more significantly and dramatically than before, ”he said.
Kosovo declared independence in 2008, Serbia considers it its territory. Kosovo has been recognized by more than 100 countries, Russia is not one of them.
