Volunteer raid in the Russian Federation: the expert pointed out an interesting point

The villages of the Belgorod region have a rich Ukrainian history, which adds historical context to current events in the region.

The villages of the Belgorod region have deep Ukrainian roots, so the events taking place there have a historical component.

Bureau of Analysis and Policy expert Viktor Bobirenko spoke about this on the air of Espresso.

“Where RDK went – this is Tetkino and here is our Ryzhevka – there is even one street, a road, you don’t even notice how you get from Ukraine to Rossiyushka. I don’t think there will be any the military effect from this is, of course, a political effect before the elections, in order to show again to the same Scholz that we should not be afraid to hand over TAURUS to us if we are already walking around Russia with our feet. Even if these are not the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but this is the Russian volunteer corps allied to us, which is equipped and armed anyway by the state of Ukraine, let’s be honest,” Bobyrenko said.

The expert added that the Russian Federation has already reported on the liquidation of 300 Russian volunteers, although they did not have large troops there.

“This proves that in fact they do not expect our offensives, they do not expect us to enter the Russian Federation and that they can enter themselves, but we will not go there. Moreover, in 2022 year, when we just reached the border, they fired at us for the first months, we didn’t answer them, that’s how it was. It passed. Now, if it hits, our people don’t hesitate to give an answer,” Bobirenko said.

“So that we understand why they came to Tetkino and why they succeeded. First of all, I want to tell the audience that Tetkino, Sudzha, Grayvoron are all Slobozhanshchina, these are all Ukrainian ethnic villages, they say there the same surzhik as I am,” Bobirenko emphasized.

He remembered how in the 2000s he visited and explored the Belgorod region and the Ukrainian-Russian border with students, then the residents considered themselves Ukrainians more than twenty years ago.

“Now it’s different, because propaganda works, many still speak Surzhik and consider themselves Russians,” the expert added.

Recall that on Thursday, March 14, the “Freedom of Russia” legion, which is fighting the Putin regime on the territory of the Russian Federation, called for the urgent evacuation of residents of settlements bordering Ukraine due to the outbreak of active hostilities.

At the same time, Russian authorities are blocking the evacuation of civilians in the Belgorod region, where a raid by Russian volunteers continues. Panic is growing among local residents.
