“Likes are not always the best way to convey how you feel when you read posts in your feed. We have been asked more than once to make a button with the exact opposite meaning – but there are much more emotions in life. To make it convenient to express all of them, we have added different reactions, ”- said in the message of the social network.
VKontakte explains that new reactions can be used to express fun, surprise, sadness, rage and other emotions. One of the new reactions will be available to users in the near future. Their list will be replenished as friends and subscribers start to leave different “emotions” under the posts. The update is starting gradually, the message says.
Earlier, the managing director of VKontakte Marina Krasnova told Kommersant that the company will launch a desktop version of its video call service. This means that he will not require an account on this social network for all participants in the video call. VKontakte plans to make calls of unlimited time, with the possibility of participation of more than 2 thousand people, recording and other functions.
