Doctor of Medical Sciences, virologist Anatoly Altstein, in an interview with RT, commented on the situation with coronavirus infection COVID-19.
“I think that if people are vaccinated, then the wave will subside. But keep in mind that those who are vaccinated today will acquire immunity only in a month and a half, ”the virologist shared.
According to him, after the introduction of the vaccine, a certain time must pass until a person reaches immunity.
“Therefore, a month and a half does not need to require the vaccine to have any effect on the growth of the epidemic,” concluded Alshtein.
