Virgin Galactic announced a decision to postpone the launch of commercial space flights to the end of 2022.
This follows from the statement on the company's website.
“The (equipment) improvement period starts one month later than expected and we now expect commercial flights to begin in Q4 2022,” the statement said.
In July 2020, Virgin Galactic's VSS Unity, carrying British billionaire Richard Branson, reached the edge of space and landed safely on Earth.
Virgin Galactic announced that it was selling tickets for space flights in August.
