Russian writer Viktor Pelevin was spotted in Thailand. This is reported by the Telegram channel Mash.
Channel subscriber Kirill said that he met Pelevin on the beach and tried to speak to him in English, but he refused. “And we no longer began to impose, we just watched him leave. He reached the end of the beach, the beach is quite large, three or four kilometers long, ”added the source of Mash.
In November 2021, journalists found the writer's secret refuge on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. According to them, Pelevin has been living in a hotel on the coastline for over a year. The hotel is surrounded by a lake on one side and an ocean on the other. There is a large shopping center and a Buddhist temple next to it. In addition, there is a rehabilitation center nearby, which is believed to have been described in the novel Invincible Sun.
The writer spent 2017 and 2018 traveling, and on November 30, 2019, he flew from Moscow to Bangkok and never returned to Russia.
