The US Federal Attorney's Office arrested three participants in the storming of the Capitol Building in Washington, including Jacob Anthony Chensley, aka Jake Angeli, who participated in the protests in a Viking costume. Reported by FOX5.
According to prosecutors, the so-called 32-year-old “QAnon” shaman from Arizona was arrested on Saturday, January 9th. He is accused of deliberately entering or staying in a building with limited access without legal authority, as well as forcible entry and disturbance of public order on the territory of the Capitol. Jake Angeli worked as a singer and actor, and was also fond of various conspiracy theories.
In addition to the “shaman”, the authorities on similar charges arrested 35-year-old West Virginia deputy Derrick Evans and the so-called 36-year-old “Lectern Guy” Adam Johnson from Florida, who was captured walking around the Capitol with the chair of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi in his hands.
Previously, Twitter users turned into a meme of Jake Angeli, who came to storm the Capitol in a Viking costume. The social network compared him with Chewbacca – the character of the movie “Star Wars”, with the barbarian robbing Rome, as well as with the character of the game Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and also discussed his clothes.
The storming of the US Capitol building took place on January 6 during a rally of supporters of the current US President Donald Trump, who do not recognize the results of the November vote, which resulted in the election of Democrat Joe Biden. The rallies led to clashes with the police. Five people were killed, dozens were detained.
