In 2015, Michel Platini spoke as UEFA President in Vienna
Vienna will host the Ordinary UEFA Congress for the fourth time on May 11, 2022. That was determined by the European Football Association on Tuesday at the current congress in Montreux. “It is a great honor and a sign of appreciation that the UEFA Congress has been awarded to Vienna for the second time in seven years. The ÖFB and our federal capital will once again present themselves as worthy hosts,” said ÖFB President Leo Windtner in a broadcast.
The UEFA Congress is UEFA's supreme body and brings together the presidents and general secretaries of all 55 UEFA member associations. Vienna has already been the scene four times. The very first edition in 1955 took place in the Danube metropolis, most recently in March 2015 in Vienna.
