Police Vienna was forced to make excuses after one of the law enforcement officers patrolled the streets with the letter Z on his helmet during Christmas.

In the press the Vienna police service in X gave an explanation on this situation.

So, law enforcement officers explained that the letter Z is the first letter of the surname of this policeman, who thus wanted to designate his helmet during operational training for easier identification by his colleagues.

The police also said that their colleague did not see any symbolism in it, but after an explanation he deleted it.

Police representatives emphasized that the letter used had no connection with Russia.
