The Capitals strengthen themselves with the Canadian striker Luke Moncada; Goalie David Kickert injured himself on Sunday.
The Vienna Capitals get reinforcements from Canada. 21-year-old striker Luke Moncada is said to “bring depth to our line-up”, according to head coach Dave Barr. The 1.85 m tall and 98 kg heavy left-hander was top scorer in the Ontario Hockey League for North Bay Battalion in 2019/20 and 17 times for the Cleveland Monsters in the American Hockey League (AHL) last season.
“One of the reasons why I come to Vienna is head coach Dave Barr. I would like to take the opportunity to play under him and learn from him,” said Moncada in a broadcast by the ICE League club on Monday. He will soon be arriving in Vienna and will wear the number 28 for the caps.
Goalie David Kickert injured himself on Sunday at 4-5 in Znojmo after 15 minutes. The degree of the injury will be clarified in an MR on Tuesday.
