Sebastian Vettel
Sebastian Vettel was subsequently deprived of second place in the Formula 1 race in Hungary. But his team appeals against the decision.
A start-up crash on a damp track turned the field upside down at the Hungaroring. In the end, Esteban Ocon sensationally celebrated his first career victory in the Alpine racing car, Sebastian Vettel drove in the Aston Martin in second place ahead of champion Lewis Hamilton.
But it was revoked a few hours after the race. Reason given by the FIA: Every bolide must have at least one liter of fuel in the tank after the race. At Vettel, however, only 300 milliliters were found. Second place is gone.
Or not? Aston Martin protests the decision. The British believe that Vettel's cars had problems with the injection. That's why the German parked his car on the lap of honor. In fact, 1.74 liters of gasoline were still in the tank. Why the FIA could not take a sufficient amount from the sample is a mystery to the team.
