Traffic in the Bosphorus Strait, which was stopped due to a breakdown of a dry cargo ship, has been restored. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the A haber TV channel.

According to him, the coast guard group anchored the cargo ship in the Saryyer-Buyukdere anchorage area, after which the movement of ships along the strait returned to normal.

Earlier, the Turkish Coast Guard Department reported that the movement of ships along the Bosphorus in both directions was stopped due to a breakdown of a dry cargo ship on its way to Romania near the bridge of Sultan Selim Yavuz. Social media users filmed a ship stuck in the strait.

The Bosphorus Strait connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean and is a narrow intercontinental strait. Its length is about 30 kilometers, the maximum width of the strait is 3700 meters in the north, the minimum width is 700 meters. The Turkish city of Istanbul is located on both sides of the strait.
