Nicholas Maduro
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro allowed the purchase of weapons from the United States. Interfax reports his words at a press conference.
“It seems to me a very good idea for Venezuela to buy bullets, machine guns, planes, tanks, missiles from a country that offers the best conditions, be it the United States, Colombia, Iran, Russia, China or India,” Maduro said. According to him, if a country wants to sell “bullets” to Venezuela, it will buy them, since there is a need and funds for this.
In particular, the Venezuelan leader allowed the purchase of missiles from Iran. He noted that he will consider the relevant proposal at the right time. “If we can get them, we will buy military equipment to strengthen the defense power of Venezuela,” the president concluded.
In September, it was reported that the United States would impose sanctions against Nicolas Maduro for cooperation with Iran. It was noted that the American side is ready to impose restrictions against any state that will help Iran through its nuclear program.
