Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva held a training session ahead of the women's singles competition at the Olympic Games (OI) in Beijing. On Sunday, February 13, the correspondent of “Lenta.ru” reports.
Also on the ice came the Russians Anna Shcherbakova and Alexandra Trusova.
Valieva worked out a short program, performing a triple axel, as well as triple flip – triple toe loop, triple lutz – triple toe loop cascades.
On February 12, the former head of WADA, Dick Pound, said that Russia needs to take a break for one or three Olympics after a doping scandal involving figure skater Kamila Valieva.
Valieva's dubious doping test became known on February 9. In this regard, the IOC postponed the awards ceremony following the results of the team tournament of the Olympics. The Russian team, which included Valieva, became the winner in this type of program.
On February 11, the International Testing Agency (ITA) officially confirmed that the skater's December 25 doping test tested positive for the banned trimetazidine.
