The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court on December 22 arrested in absentia the former chairman of the board of Privatbank Oleksandr Dubilet, suspected of embezzling UAH 8.3 billion.
The investigating judge fully satisfied the request of NABU and SAP, choosing a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
Dubilet himself has been on the international wanted list for more than six months.
Dubilet's case
June 2, 2021 years Alexander Dubilet was arrested in absentia, and also put on the international wanted list. This decision was made by the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine.
However, on July 22, the VAKS Appeal Chamber satisfied the complaint of his lawyers and canceled the previously appointed arrest in absentia.
At the end of March, Oleksandr Dubilet was put on the wanted list. anti-corruption bureau. He is suspected of embezzling more than UAH 8 billion that belonged to Privatbank.
In February, Dubilet and other ex-bank officials were suspected of abuse of office, in particular, falsification of documents, which led to the embezzlement of UAH 136 million.
