Belarus has become the first country in the world after Russia to begin vaccinating the population against COVID-19 with the Sputnik V vaccine, the Russian Direct Investment Fund said in the vaccine's official Twitter account.
Today, December 29, the first batch of the drug arrived in Belarus.
– The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announce the start of vaccination of the population of Belarus with the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus, the RDIF reported.
On December 21, Belarus was issued a registration certificate for the vaccine. Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko noted that Belarus managed to quickly introduce the Russian Sputnik V vaccine into circulation thanks to constructive cooperation with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Pinevich.
