Scientists at the State Research Center for Virology and Biotechnology “Vector” have studied the survival time of the delta strain of coronavirus in water. It turned out that its viability lasts up to 72 hours. This suggests that the ability of the virus to exist in this environment and be transmitted is the same as that of other covid-19 strains.

A year ago, the center's experts were studying the viability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in drinking and sea water. At that time, results were obtained on the lifespan of covid in samples of drinking dechlorinated water stored at a temperature of plus 4 degrees for 1, 3, 24, 48 and 72 hours.
As a result of their work, it turned out that in samples of drinking dechlorinated water, coronavirus infection can persist for 72 hours.
We will remind, on the eve of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation registered the fifth domestic vaccine against covid. The new vaccine is called “EpiVacCorona-N”, which immediately suggests that it is similar to the drug of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center “Vector” – the vaccine “EpiVacCorona”. And this is no coincidence. In simple words, the updated drug will be easier and easier to produce in even larger volumes than EpiVacCorona is currently producing.
