In the Donetsk region, a man brutally killed elderly people in order to take possession of their property.
According to the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of the village of Novotroitskoye is accused of committing two premeditated murders and robberies.
According to the investigation, in May a man with three accomplices broke into the house of a 90-year-old resident of the village of Trudovoye in order to get his valuables and money. The criminals hit the victim with a tire iron, and also used a boiler.
After the torture, the elderly man was set on fire, and his money in the amount of one and a half thousand hryvnias was taken away. The thieves also confiscated cutlery and commemorative medals, after which they fled the scene.
Two months later, malefactors broke into the house of a 60-year-old resident of Kramatorsk. Shortly before this, the offender was making repairs to her. The man demanded money from the pensioner, hit her twice on the back with a hammer, and then tied her with a cord and elastic bandage to the chairs.
